G.A have recently been assuming the position of both judge and judged at the Design Guild Mark Awards and Top Hotel World Tour respectively.

Our very own Joanna Biggs, Director at G.A Design London was once again asked to lend her expertise on the judging panel for the Design Guild Mark which rewards excellence in the British design of furniture in volume production. Commenting on this year’s entries Joanna described the furniture as of an “exceptionally high standard, showing quality craftsmanship, as expected, but also originality and some elegant problem-solving design solutions.”

G.A also walked away with the Creative Spark award at the Berlin leg of the Top Hotel World Tour for our Corinthia Brussels concept. Edward Davies, Managing Director of G.A Design London and lead designer, Jessica Morrison, presented the project to a room full of local industry leaders.

Built in 1900 and originally imagined as a hotel, the building had stood empty for ten years before the Corinthia Hotel group purchased it in 2016. It is currently under construction, adding two more guestroom floors and a new-build addition to become a 125 key hotel for Brussels.
