G.A London Job Captain, Hannah Jacobs, signed up to run the Hackney Half Marathon to raise money for cancer but due to Covid-19 the race was cancelled… this, however, did not stop Hannah.

Hannah started running in November, a novice runner she began her training and for 6 months worked tirelessly preparing for the big day.

The current climate has meant that all events that encourage large social gatherings have, of course, been cancelled. This included the Hackney Half Marathon.

While Hannah did not have had the electric atmosphere of the Hackney Half Marathon event to boost her morale, the big day still came and she completed a whopping 21.92km in 2 hours and 12 minutes.

Putting the rest of our ‘Couch-to-5K’ efforts to shame…

We are delighted to share Hannah’s success story and we are also sharing a link to her fundraising page, click below to donate to her cause.
