To celebrate the unveiling of the final stage of renovation for Harrods Beauty Hall, and the stunning new photos we can now share via our portfolio page, we are reflecting on other beautiful pieces of design inspired by the Roaring Twenties.
Lee Broom’s mesmerising light installation, made for London Design week, is one such example. A spectacular work made from mirrors and 17 of Lee Broom’s celebrated Orion lights. The result is an ethereal and endlessly repeating chandelier that has a strong Art Deco influence.
Kaleidoscope meets chandelier in this exceedingly innovative installation, Broom uses design ideas from the past to reimagine the present, much like G.A’s own interpretation of a 1920’s chandelier for Harrods. Suspended over a double height ceiling hangs six pairs of back-to-back digital screens which live stream masterclasses taking place in the Beauty Service Suites, resembling an ornate hanging chandelier.
