Hospitality FF&E Designer

Role:
The work of the Hospitality FF&E Designer is closely linked with the architectural side of the project. The FF&E Designer is responsible for co-ordinating all FF&E information with the FF&E and ID team to ensure accurate integration into the architectural documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Work with FF&E and ID teams to develop schematic FF&E design, relative to the Client brief, program and budget.
• Work with the FF&E team and ID to create mood boards for presentation, maintaining quality and contact, ensuring the format is compatible with G.A and client standards.
• Help to prepare presentations, maintaining quality and content, ensure the format is compatible with G.A and Client standards.
• Help to translate initial design concepts into design development working within the project program.
• Develop FF&E specification documentation in conjunction with the FF&E team’s requirements, and compatible with G.A standards. Ensuring it contains adequate clear information for supplier to provide accurate quotations.
• Review samples, strike-offs, etc. with Senior FF&E Design team for compliance with specifications and design intent.
• Co-ordinate selection and presentation of artwork and accessories if required.
• Review and mark-up furniture plans for FF&E content and accuracy.
• Co-ordinate with the senior FF&E designer in producing FF&E finish schedules
• Attend and review site installation of all FF&E items (depending on project requirements).
• Work within the project criteria and office standards and maintain the overall project program at all times.
• A knowledge of AutoCAD, Powerpoint and Photoshop are essential.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Keep up to date with industry developments, products, and trends, for continued professional development.
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality in designing 5-star hotels,
• FF&E specialist (no procurement experience),
• Must have the right-to-work in the UK.
