Subtle details form strong connections to the sea
Reflecting the lush surroundings of Ishigaki, the interior design for Ana InterContinental Ishigaki expresses the natural beauty of this island retreat. It was important when developing the narrative for this project to build a strong connection to the stunning landscapes and to focus on locality. The interiors are designed to create extraordinary and unforgettable experiences in a unique island resort setting...
Local traditions
Public spaces integrate the landscaping throughout the interiors, creating framed viewpoints, which showcase the unique character of Ishigaki. Featuring local traditions such as stone walls and use of timber, the interiors are timeless and elegant with strong connections to the sea.
Modern accents with local references
The guestrooms are designed in two styles, both luxurious and comfortable. Family rooms are playful with vibrant colours of the reef. The Club rooms palette is a more sophisticated and richer scheme, referencing textures of coral with modern accents of leather and metal.
