Historical charm and modern opulence
Nestled on the picturesque bank of Lake Fuschl in the Austrian Alps, Rosewood Schloss Fuschl draws inspiration from the castle’s rich history as a grand hunting lodge dating back to 1461. The design seamlessly intertwines heritage with contemporary luxury.
The renovation project includes 98 guestrooms, 42 suites, 6 chalets, and a state-of-the-art spa experience, promising an unparalleled blend of historical charm and modern opulence.
Austrian alpine environment
The castle's historic art collection, an impressive array of masterworks, forms the backdrop of the hotel.
Our design showcases and celebrates this collection, with the lobby lounge featuring a striking centrepiece by renowned artist Georg Baselitz, framed by antlers, evoking the hunting lodge's history.
Materials and design elements subtly reference this heritage, creating a true Austrian alpine environment.
Serene beauty of Lake Fuschl
The guest rooms and suites at Rosewood Schloss Fuschl are inspired by the serene beauty of Lake Fuschl, capturing the ever changing hues, from soft opals to rich greens. The materiality reflects the hotels' origins as a grand hunting lodge, blending the natural elements with Salzburg's storied heritage and character.
Collaboration with local artisans was key, incorporating traditional hand-painting into the design, to depict the lake at various touch points throughout the hotel. This delicate work is showcased in the bar and bespoke minibars in guest rooms, crafting a unique and cohesive visual narrative.
Asaya Spa
The Asaya Spa at Rosewood Schloss Fuschl is inspired by Austria’s wellness traditions and the Salzkammergut scenery. The 1,500 square metre Asaya Spa features both indoor and outdoor infinity pools, three sauna and one steam bath, and eight thoughtfully designed treatment rooms.
The new outdoor heated infinity pool has been designed to extend into the forest, giving guests the sensation of swimming directly into the natural landscape.
